Bridal
Bargains: Secrets
to throwing
a
fantastic wedding
on a realistic
budget
by Denise and
Alan Fields;
$10-$15 range
This
is a wonderful
book which has
cost-cutting
ideas for every
aspect of your
wedding. The
authors take
you step-by-step
through the
decision making
process and
give you the
pitfalls, advantages,
and disadvantages.
It also includes
the questions
every couple
should ask vendors
before signing
on the dotted
line. This book
takes some cost-cutting
ideas a little
too far for
our taste, but
it definitely
made us think
about our decisions
before pouring
our money into
just any product
or service.
A definite must-have
for any engaged
couple on a
wedding budget!

The
Complete Idiot's
Guide to the
Perfect Wedding
by Teddy Lenderman;
$10-$15 range
OK,
I know, you're
probably looking
at the title
and saying,
"I'm no idiot!"
But this is
a great book
to have. In
fact, I told
my future husband
that I was taking
this book to
our wedding
on our wedding
day just in
case I might
need it for
something. Fortunately,
he talked me
out of it. If
you are a little
bewildered by
all of this
wedding stuff,
this is the
book for you.
It explains
every part of
the wedding
including the
rehearsal dinner,
who to buy gifts
for, how to
order invitations,
etc., etc. and
is very easy-to-understand.
They even have
diagrams of
different arrangements
of people for
the ceremony
and walk down
the aisle. Discussions
of etiquette
also make an
appearance along
with how to
keep your family
and yourself
sane through
this major life
production.
A book worth
its weight in
gold!

The
Everything Wedding
Book
by Janet Anastasio,
et al; under
$10
This
is another great
overall look
at what goes
into a wedding
and is very
similar to the
Idiot's Guide.
It contains
some really
good tips and
interesting
ideas that might
not be in the
Idiot's Guide
but this reader
found the font
choice (text)
difficult to
read making
it hard on the
eyes and the
layout of pages
to be amateurish.
But you know
what? That doesn't
really matter
if the information
is good and
in this book,
it seems to
be quality stuff.
A book definitely
worth looking
into!

Alan Fields;

I
wish this book

It explains
everything you
need to know
about that special
garment - the
bridal gown.
This is one
of the most
baffling things
you will buy
on your wedding
adventure. The
authors of Bridal
Bargains, do
it again in
this book by
explaining how
not to get ripped
off when buying
your one and
(hopefully)
only wedding
dress. You ask
why you need
a whole book
to explain this
ancient white
dress ritual?
Well, once you
go into a store
and the saleslady
starts asking
you question
after question
about sleeves
and materials
and sizes and
alterations
and styles -
believe me,
you'll wish
you had read
a book. And
with listings
of manufacturers,
sample prices
of popular styles,
pictures, explanations
of wedding gown
vocabulary,
and comprehensive
lists of accessories,
this is a must-have

more that the

Elizabeth Lluch;
under $10
It
is difficult
to find a really
good Groom's

one seems pretty
darn close to
ideal. It's
best attribute
